2010 PTI Concept Car Competition
On Friday, April 30th 2010, 10 students from Mr. Cassandro’s Concept Car Design class competed in the annual Pittsburgh Technical Institute’s “Concept Car Design” contest. The contest is open to the tri-state area and this year had teams from West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. For the second straight year North Hills swept the first three places and took home a total of $550.00.
Jon Kolenda (senior) won first place and will attend Penn State next fall for Engineering.
Kyle Dobson (senior) won second and will be attending the University of Cincinnati next fall to study Architecture.
Steve Kitay (senior) won third place and will attend Slippery Rock University next fall majoring in Marketing.
Concept Car Design students travel to Cleveland
Mr. Cassandro’s Concept Car Design students visited the Cleveland Institute of Art Automobile Design Symposium and participated in an automobile design sketching competition.
