Concert Choir

The Concert Choir is a select ensemble made up of members of the choral groups in 7th, 8th, and 9th grades. Participation is by audition. They meet during homeroom in the Chorus Room from 7:40-8:00AM. The rehearsals are as follows:
Announcements
New Hall Passes for March through May excusing you from homeroom are in the chorus room. Pick one up off of the table next to the piano. ---------- Friday, May 7, 2010 is the date when the entire district is showcased at our annual Arts Alive festival. Student projects and artwork from all of the district’s buildings are displayed throughout the senior high school, and each of the district’s performing groups from all levels will take the stage at our “collage concert.”
The Concert Choir will be a part of this collage concert performance. The concert takes place in the Senior High Auditorium from 6:00-8:00PM. We are scheduled to perform from 6:30-6:45PM. We will meet in the senior high choir room (next to the auditorium in the “B” hallway) at 6:15PM to warm-up. Dress is jeans and a plain/solid white shirt (no logos or writing unless you purchase an Arts Alive shirt, you may wear that). We will perform the 4 songs we are currently working on: girls doing “Dah Doo Ron Ron,” followed by the boys singing “Cover Me with the Night,” and then joining together for “Hold Me, Rock Me” and ending with “Lean on Me.”
After we are finished, you are free to explore the events and activities in the rest of the building. The senior high choirs are doing a “Cabaret” in the choir room, so you may want to stick around for that. Please make every effort to attend. This will be a great practice for us to see what we need to work on before the trip to the High Note Festival on May 21st.
